The upcoming conference will be held in Granville, Oh in Feb. I wish I could go. It’s just gotten so expensive for someone who just gardens. I wish they would do some one day events in Columbus and other county seats. I would especially like to see the Women in Ag lecture. This has great potential. I think women are the real farmers in most families. They have been picking the cotton , beans and tomatoes with the best of them. It would be an interesting research project to talk to daughters, widows and even nieces of farms that have left us. As well as the immigrant wives and daughters living in Columbus who have come here from 1st generation farm families around the world. Could they be a new subgroup of the Farm Bureau or the new 4 H leaders or even manage their own FFA chapters. I think there would be enough of us out there to do all of the above.
