Columbus update for Aug
This week in Columbus will be eventful. The American Community Gardening Association is holding they’re national conference at Franklin Park on Aug 6, 7 and 8. They are bringing in a lot of high power activists to meet and speak about many of the happening things out there. Spin gardening, rain barrels, rain gardens, city, state and national initiatives that are making a big difference in communities around the country. It’s expensive. $200 to $300. There are also side events happening in conjunction to this in the $20 to $30 price range, Check their website out for more details. OSU had there first farm market on Kenny road in Upper Arlington. Bravo to them. They also got a good article in the Columbus Dispatch on Wed to help them kick off this new venture which created a High school/ college collaboration which could set some precedents for all land grant colleges around the country. Just a quick note for now. karen

Great idea about writing a series of blog postings from the conference–the virtual gardening storyteller! Perhaps you could throw in a few tweets along the way and those of us who are so inclined can follow you on Twitter. Looking forward to reading your account of what’s happening. Most of all, enjoy, learn, and connect!
